A conscious, wholesome and healthy lifestyle is at the heart of everything we do. Studio Itiha was born in 2022 out of our love for travel, culture, and all things nature!
Vision
Our vision is to reach all those people who want to be mindful about their choices and to make the rest realize that you can get the same, if not better quality products within a competitive price range and lead a better lifestyle for yourself and the planet.
We want to do this by providing naturally dyed and hand woven products that have a low impact on the environment.
‘Itiha’as
Our name Itiha is as rooted as our process. ‘Itiha’ is a sanskrit word meaning ‘from tradition’. We follow traditional, artisanal dyeing methods to bring you colorful, timeless and one of a kind pieces.
Natural dyeing is such a process that no two pieces will be exactly the same. A slight difference in color, and design due to the handmade nature of it makes each of these pieces even more graceful.

We believe in the power of nature and want to bring back an old tradition that has been in our culture for centuries. At Studio Itiha, we use natural dyes that can be found locally in abundance. We hope to go the extra mile and use as much food/plant and temple flower waste as possible in our dyeing processes to reduce waste and recycle as much as possible.
Chemical dyes are not only the world’s second largest polluters, they have ingredients that are supposed to be nowhere near your skin!
Natural dyes, on the other hand, have never failed to surprise us with their vibrant hues and unique health benefits. We are constantly amazed by the variety of colors a single dye source can produce and want to share them with the world.

There is no limit to the knowledge and experiences we can gain by visiting new places, even if they're just a few hours away. These adventures fuel our passion and drive us to pour all of our inspiration into our work.
Our Philosophy
Our designs are simple, practical and can be worn in multiple ways, for multiple occasions. Comfort, Versatility and simplicity are the three pillars of any design we create.
All the fabrics used are natural and are carefully researched upon before turning into a product. We also collaborate with artisans to bring you handloom fabrics in natural dyes as much as possible.

About Me
I’m Devika, and I love all things nature! I realized in my early college days that we need a shift in the way we consume. Since then, my love for traditional textiles and the simplicity of it all is what drives me.
Studio Itiha’s journey began when I was introduced to the world of slow fashion while studying textile design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology. I realized that living a mindful and conscious lifestyle in a metropolitan setting was difficult, with alternative products often being expensive and out of reach. But after conducting extensive research and working with artisans and different crafts across the nation, I believe that it is possible to create alternative choices. Buying from slow fashion brands, opting for quality over quantity are just a few.
We can be kind to ourselves and the planet, as long as we know where to look and are willing to put in a little bit of effort. With Studio Itiha’s simple, yet practical designs, I want to make slow fashion approachable and accessible to everyone.
